Koji Kondo is the man who created the simple, catchy theme to Nintendo's Mario Brothers series. Right now he's only 43 years young, and he's considered the best guy to write music backgrounds to your video game (he also composed Zelda). Right now he's working on a new game for Nintendo Wii called Wii Music that will allow players to conduct an orchestra and bang on drums with their remote. Sounds neat!
Here he is on the piano, playing his most well-known work (which has been on Billboard's top 40 ringtone downloads for 126 weeks!) I'd like to learn how to play this song on the piano someday.
